The Kluegrass City/ County Line Fire Department, a combination
paid and volunteer department, is located in a suburban setting outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. Our first response area consists
of a mere 2,100 residents. However, we are kept quite busy with automatic mutual aid runs to numerous neighboring municipalities.
Our covered jurisdiction includes, residences, light indutrial structures, several schools, an interstate highway (I-86),
Shippensmore County Highway, and many public gathering and commercial buildings. Here is an image of some on-duty personnel
discussing the days runs outside the station.

The municipality (Kluegrass City) has just received its Special
Operations/ HazMat/Hose Tender unit. It is an ALF Eagle which began as an aerial. McBride Trucking, a local company,
has given the fire department an excellent deal converting this unit for the specific needs of Kluegrass City/County Line
Fire Department. Due to the number of MVA, vehicle fire,
and HazMat runs we respond to, especially with the interstate passing through our jurisdiction, it was decided to rebuild
our second aerial unit into this multi-purpose rig. It also carries a significant amount of large diameter hose, a foam
supply, extra generators, and scene lighting.
